That's very sad to hear, he was a great man. I'm rewatching "The Injury" in his honour, rest in peace.

Oh wow, that's sad! His character 'Billy Merchant' was so good, he was one of the only characters who had no room for Michael Scott's nonsense in the show. Great actor, will be missed.

Aw, noo :( 55 is far too young. So many young deaths in this past year... I hope he and his family find peace.

York was best known for his appearance as Billy Merchant in The Office.
York, who was paraplegic, made his first appearance on the show during its second season.
He also had other small TV roles in shows such as CSI: New York and Fighting Words.
In more recent times, York had been working as an inventor.

And he had even secured 2 patents for his inventions.
York died last week at Miami Valley Hospital in Ohio, following an illness.
His death is said to have come quickly after the illness surfaced.
Following his death, an obituary was posted online by the Kreitzer Funeral Home.
The obituary described York as having an "outgoing, uplifting, positive attitude and personality."
"Age 55, formerly of Arcanum, passed away in the early morning of May 19th at Miami Valley Hospital following a brief and unexpected illness," it reads.
"Even though he has been paraplegic since, 1988, he had such an outgoing, uplifting, positive attitude and personality."
"He always tried to look at what he could accomplish and do, not what he couldn't do. He had experienced many travel opportunities and many dreams for the future."
"In the past several years, he had been working as an inventor, and had obtained two patents for his inventions."
York is survived by his brother, mother and father.
The exact cause of death has not been disclosed.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
