Just minutes before Derek Chauvin was convicted of murder, a police officer fatally shot and killed a teenage girl.
And the videos have left people in shock...

Police in Ohio opened fire on Tuesday afternoon killing a young girl.
After Columbus Division of Police dispatch officers received a call at 4:36 p.m. saying someone was trying to stab them.
Officers arrived at 4:44 p.m., and bodycam footage shows the officer at the scene with a group of people...
Including multiple girls standing outside a house.
The video has left people speechless...










As the officer asked what was going on, a fight broke out with the girls...

"Is she shot?" one woman cried.
"She had a knife," the officer said.
"She's a f**king kid, man," a man replied.
The girl was sixteen-year-old Ma'Khia Bryant...
The Columbus Dispatch reported that Bryant lived in a foster home.
The girl's aunt, Hazel Bryant, told reporters that her niece got into a dissagreement with another girl at the foster home.

She later said the teen called the police, her father, and grandmother for help, and grabbed a knife to protect herself.
"She was a good kid. She was loving," Hazel Bryant said. "Yeah, she had issues but that's OK. All of us go through shit... She didn't deserve to die like a dog in the street."

The girl's mother Paula Bryant told reporters her daughter was an honor-roll student and a "sweet child."
The video shared on social media shows Bryant lying lifeless on the street...

Ohio's Bureau of Criminal Investigation is now conducting an investigation into the events that took place.
Mayor Andrew Ginther on Tuesday told reporters, information will be released as quickly as possible.

He added that as a father, he was grieved by what happened.
"The city of Columbus lost a sixteen-year-old girl today. We know based on this footage the officer took action to protect another young girl in our community," he said.

"It is absolutely devastating that I am driving home from an appointment in elation, honking my horn in jubilation, filled with hope in thinking there's maybe a turn that the nation deserves, and then simultaneously all of those feelings of positivity brought down to devastation in the blink of an eye is devastating," Thomas-St. Clair said.
