Candace Owens Threatens to Sue Cardi B After Argument Over ‘WAP’ Spins Out of Control

Candace Owens isn't afraid to speak her mind - but her tirade against "WAP" may have gone too far ...
Candace has been hugely critical of the controversial track.
And of course, there has been a mixed reaction about the comments online.
But now she's taken things to the next level.
Yep, you read it right - threatening legal action against Cardi B. Scroll on for the heated Twitter exchange...
Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion performed a clean version of the hit track at the Grammys.
But, evidently, it wasn't clean enough for some viewers, who have been left completely outraged.
"WAP" isn't exactly the family-friendly track of the decade.
Cardi B and Meghan Thee Stallion's hit collaboration has been taking the world by storm ever since its release in August last year.
The song is riddled with sexual connotations and innuendos from start to finish.
We all know the lyrics at this point.
And that was just a warm-up.
The rest of the song weighs in on some pretty explicit sexual activity.
And just when we thought that was enough...
The music video was released, and it blew us all away.
A whole host of female dancers feature in the video...
Because Cardi "wanted different types of bad b****es in my video. Black, white, Latin, mix."
However, the controversy doesn't mean the song hasn't experienced its success.
In the days following its release, Cardi excitedly took to Instagram to share that the song had reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and had the most streams in the first opening week in music history.
The music video has now had over three-hundred million views on YouTube...
And the powerhouse collaboration alone has amassed more than ninety million streams.
Many regard "WAP" as one of the most iconic feminist anthems of all time...
@laurenhtexas 🗣 If a woman doesn’t feel empowered by WAP she’s a fake feminist— 🌷 miguel 🌷 (@🌷 miguel 🌷)1607570585.0
With women from all over the world claiming to feel "empowered" by its lyrics.
However, on the other hand...
Some people aren't too impressed with the track, slamming it as "inappropriate" and "damaging to feminism."WAP is disgusting. It pissed off a lot of people who raised daughters who respect themselves. I long for the days when hip hop portrayed our women as queens.

It's a divisive topic, to say the least.
But one thing that most people can agree on is that "WAP" is not appropriate for family listening.
Many have expressed their concern surrounding the effect this song will have upon young and vulnerable ears...
Not saying she needs to be cancelled, we're just saying tis a garbage song and her message is garbage and parents should be aware of it. I'm all for raunchy jokes and songs, but stuff like this shouldn't be on general airwaves or available to kids.

So, after seeing the duo perform the track at the 2021 Grammys, people were less than impressed.
Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion performed the song live for the first time during the 63rd annual event.
For their set, the stage was decked out with poles, huge stiletto shoes, and a giant bed - did we expect anything less?
Admittedly, it was a "clean" version of the song, with certain words omitted from the verses.
However, viewers have still been left outraged by the sexual nature of the choreography, with many claiming that it was way too explicit for a primetime show.
Their performance has led to criticism online from an anti-p**** group labeling the performance "hardcore" p****."
"In a performance that could have been cut from a hardcore pornography film, CBS allowed a glamorization of stripping & prostitution to be broadcast ... Prostitution & stripping are never empowering for women, as they set up systems that exploit & oppress women." —@DawnHawkins33

The group said the "show contributed to the sexual exploitation of women."
And they weren't the only ones to get offended by the nature of the performance...
Many others, including conservatives, Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens have been weighing in on the issue.
Carlson claimed that "it's hard not to conclude they're [Cardi B and Stallion] intentionally trying to degrade our culture and hurt our children."
Owens agreed with his comments.
But not everyone was on their side...

"I mean Dr. Seuss, gone. Mr. Potato Head, problematic, not enough genders available..." Owens started.
"We've seen going through the supermarket as a traumatizing experience. We lost Aunt Jemima last year. We lost Land O'Lakes butter last year. We lost Uncle Ben and his rice last year because everything is so traumatizing for children to look at."
She continued:
"But this? This spectacle? Virtually what we were looking at last night was a lesbian s*x scene being simulated on television, and this is considered feminist. It's iconic. It's forward. It's progressive."
She also went on to say this:
"This is starting, to me, to seem like it's not even left or right. It's not a political issue. This seems like an attack on American values, American traditions, and you're actually actively trying to make children aspire to things that are grotesque.
"We are celebrating perversity in America."
Carlson then brought up Owens' newborn child, asking if she's happy that he has to grow up "in a world like this."
"This is not the patriarchy that's keeping young women down. It displays like this, displays of blatant nudity and sexualization, that is keeping women down in this society," Owens said.
"We are seeing the destruction of American values and principles and it's terrifying."
"I think parents should be terrified that this is the direction that our society is heading towards. We are weakening America, that's really what we should be talking about. This is a weakening of American society ... We are about to see the end of an empire. America cannot survive, it can not be sustained, under these sorts of values and principles."
But if we know Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, this won't affect them one little bit... And obviously, it didn't.
Yaaaayyyyyyy WE MADE FOX NEWS GUYS !!! Wap wap wap https://t.co/g7AX947RMb

But it seems Owens isn't letting this go.
Things have gone totally crazy on Twitter.
If you think making your husband a sandwich is a sin, but popping your vagina into another woman’s vagina in front of the world is power— you are a lost soul.
— Candace Owens (@RealCandaceO) March 16, 2021
It all started with this Owens subtweet.
Cardi B hit back with this.
Not you talking about two women thrusting their vaginas together while your husband and brother slap cocks and balls together .WELL WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT !wow https://t.co/SvbnEXOOQF pic.twitter.com/kzzS6nVww9

A rumor of Owens' husband's infidelity.
But Owens' claimed the Tweet was fake.
I am literally laughing out loud.
— Candace Owens (@RealCandaceO) March 16, 2021
Cardi. My dear.
That is clearly a photoshopped tweet.
😂😂😂😂
Only one of us has a husband that sleeps around. https://t.co/Mq7gbUFSDj
Making the whole thing complicated.
Cardi claimed the Tweet was real.
What the actual hell are you talking about?
— Candace Owens (@RealCandaceO) March 16, 2021
Are you dead serious right now trying to substantiate a photoshopped tweet?
Asking one more time before I get the lawyers to make you publicly admit you’re lying and embarrass yourself. https://t.co/aiBOghhcv6
But Owens wasn't letting this go.
She escalated the situation.
FYI I DO have a brother, a private citizen, who you are slandering right now with this photoshopped image that you are now publicly claiming you saw tweeted in real life.
— Candace Owens (@RealCandaceO) March 16, 2021
You want to admit you lied now, or get sued so I can expose you as a liar?
I win either way. https://t.co/aiBOghhcv6
Threatening legal action.
Yep, she's planning to sue Cardi.
Yes. Just spoke with my family. I am 100% suing Cardi for that nonsense. You can’t just start throwing out wild lies against private members of my family because you’re upset someone called your out on your degenerate performance.
— Candace Owens (@RealCandaceO) March 16, 2021
I‘ll keep you all posted. https://t.co/v2aisvQiOG
This is serious.
However, Cardi seems unfazed.
I’m going to sue candy for claiming I photoshopped a tweet that dozens of articles reported about back in November 2016z.First she claim me and my team photoshopped it now it was a fake tweet.Which one is it .Everyone is free to Google . https://t.co/XlIbC4fA7Y pic.twitter.com/YeAlgywlrF
